Please be aware that F4C: Winter Warmth and the aligned F4C: Self Care support pathways are now closed as of 31st March 2017. Warm Homes Healthy People will be reviewing and redesigning Winter Warmth support and further details will be shared when available.

If you require any further information regarding these programmes or where to receive support in the meantime please do not hesitate to contact us.

Warm Homes Healthy People

WHHP have been receiving a high level of referrals so far this Winter meeting a lot of need for those vulnerable to Winter in Bradford. If you are interested in supporting the work of WHHP and sustaining interventions for those vulnerable to winter for reasons of health or Fuel Poverty please consider our Crowd Funding.

Please be aware that it can take up to 21 days for support to take place, our support will still be available for referral in the holiday period including:

  • Home Energy Efficiency
  • Fuel Debt Advice
  • Practical Support
  • Home Fire Safety

Watm Homes Health People partnership are relaunching their Winter Warmth support on Monday 3rd October at Margaret MacMillan Towers in Bradford City Centre.

There will be an opportunity to learn how to refer to support and meet the organisations delivering interventions through the scheme.

Support includes:

  • Warm Homes Discount Support
  • Practical Support
  • Home Fire Safety
  • Fuel Debt Advice

Free Talks and Training – Home Energy Advice and Information


Many people continue to struggle to manage their energy use and bills at home. The government is being advised to make more changes to help ensure householder’s access real choice and get cheaper energy prices. In Bradford there is a lot of support and help already available.

Bradford Environmental Action Trust (BEAT) will come and talk to any community group and provide advice and information for members, volunteers and staff to signpost and access all the support that is available. Find out more about

  • How to change energy supplier and save money, don’t be confused about your bills and the deals on offer.
  • Longterm health problems which are made worse in cold temperatures.
  • Support from your energy company’s Priority Services Register.
  • ‘Hard to treat’ homes and what can be done about them.
  • How to avoid condensation and mould problems in your home.
  • Claiming the Warm Home Discount, get all the financial support available to you.
  • How to get the best out of your heating controls.
  • Pratical support available from the Bradford Warm Homes Healthy People partnership.

Warm Homes Healthy People in Bradford District are continuing their Winter Warmth Support over summer towards relaunching support in full ahead of Winter 2016 / 2017.

We also hope this will maximise the impact of some of the preventative interventions on offer around Fuel Debt and Home Energy Efficiency. This is available for service users to refer to alike, full details and the referral form are available on the F4C: Winter Warmth page.
